My Genshin Impact Teapot Realm – End of 1.5

Version 1.5 of Genshin Impact introduced a housing system into the game via the “Serenitea Pot” and it’s a addition that I really enjoy. I’ve spent a lot of time on it so far.

Back in the Animal Crossing craze of early 2020, I saw a lot of posts of people blogging their island building progress, and those were really cool to see. Unfortunately, my Animal Crossing island was really ugly. But, in Genshin Impact my “island” actually looks nice, and I’m quite proud of it. Thus, this is an archive post of what my teapot realm looks like as of today. It’s definitely going to change a lot in the next patch, so I thought it would be cool to take a snapshot of it to keep track of progress.

Unfortunately, I had to compress the images because the original .png screenshots on an ultrawide monitor (3440 x 1440) were huge (like anywhere between 6 and 10 MB), so they look sort of wonky :/

I picked the Emerald Peaks realm for two reasons: the first being the fact that there’s a day/night cycle and I like the OST for the daytime, and also because I wanted to have the waterfall.

My house faces the waterfall because I wanted to see it every time I left the house or entered the Teapot Realm.

The area I ended up settling my house in is the one I’ve probably spent the most effort on. I really wanted to make a dense city type area. I did end up hitting the max furnishing allowed in an area, but I did manage to make a cool cluster of builders to have some sort of “skyline”, thanks to some clipping/glitching techniques I learned from reddit.

Editor view, including the other half of the area that’s really empty because I ran out of load and couldn’t place anything else 😦

Going down from there, my next “island” is sort of a Mondstadt Village type area, aka I just threw all my Mondstadt styled building here haphazardly because I didn’t know what else to do with them.

Then I tried making sort of an adventuring area, with mountains and tunnels, tents and other adventuring gear, and enemy camps. I spent way too long collecting blocks to make the little tunnel paths, and it’s not super exciting or anything, but it’s still fun to run around it, so I’m decently satisfied.

And I have the bottom most island. This is the first area unlocked so a lot of it is things I placed really early on but then didn’t move later even when I had access to more furnishings. My house used to be on this island in the center, but then I moved it up and replaced it with a nice little fountain. For the most part, the center is still pretty empty because of that, but it’s supposed to be a little quaint area anyway.

Some of the setups here are also formal furnishing sets (if you don’t know what that means, all that really matters was that I was trying to go achievement hunting early on for rewards :P)

I also put all the wild animals on this island, but only the crane is visible in the screencap I got.
This was one of the first setups I made and I still love it.

Finally, going all the way back to the very top of the mountain, I recreated this little tea table under a tree setup at the top most area right in front of the waterfall.

I’m going to put Zhongli here the moment that the 1.6 patch comes out and I can place my characters in my teapot.

I only took one screencap from inside of my actual house since I didn’t want to just completely overload a post with pictures of every single room. I’m also not a huge fan of my interior decorating so far and also I’ve spent way more time working outdoors. But I did make this cute library.

Anyway, that’s it for now. I’ll be back at the end of 1.6. I unlocked the beach realm as well, so I’ll have a completely new place to decorate and given that the first part of 1.6 is effectively the “anime beach episode”, I’m gonna have a lot of fun playing around with the new tropical/beach furniture.
